The "Story" So Far
TBT started earlier this year as an idea rooted a bit deeper than the desire to make tees.
I'm growing up.
The world is different to me now than it was 10 or even 5 years ago. Shit like He-Man and Homegrown and 'Flip Sorry' and Girls used to be all that I cared about and that shit was cool, no matter what. I used to go to the same venue every week to see the same bands, the same house parties and the same hangouts with my friends.
That was what it was about. I had episodes of Transformers on cassette that were so worn out it was like watching sandpaper. All of a sudden I'm worrying about all that other shit. Bills, rent, the future, the past, 17.9% APR, dinner, pollution, politics, petrol prices, exercise, triple-ply, caffeine, inflation, buy one get one frees, fucking newspapers. When did we all get so weak?
This October sees the release of the first proper Broken Teeth collection. This begins with three t-shirts and will be followed by several new releases over the coming months. The collection will be available from Below (Brighton), Angry Daves (Bristol), The Ones Store and from the official Broken Teeth Webstore. Numbers are limited and final. I do not plan on reprinting, I don't dwell on stuff.
When I was a kid I was so convinced the world would be awesome and great, just for me. I was disappointed. So this is my attempt to celebrate the truly awesome. Growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional. Fuck you. TBT
